- Good introduction to world of kaiseki
- Lunch is excellent value for money
- Lacks the excellence and perfection of the kaiseki big hitters (Matsukawa, Kyoaji, Morikawa)
TL;DR – While it’s not fair to judge a kaiseki restaurant on its lunch alone, Toyoda, with 2 Michelin Stars, offers one of the best value kaiseki lunches in Tokyo. If you’re after kaiseki excellence or a dinner experience, look else where. But if you’re looking for an introduction into the world of kaiseki or an affordable way to enjoy kaiseki, Toyoda is one of the better places to do it.
